I don't know how I taught without Pinterest but it must have been boring. In fact I'm sure it was boring. I've been pinning ideas for whenever I get a classroom again. In fact my homepage is now set to Pinterest. It's a great collaborative resource and I can't wait to use these ideas!
I believe learning should be a sensory experience. Sight, smell, touch, taste and hear. History should be explored and not solely read out of a book. With Pinterest I have pinned soooooooo many hands-on activities and even some down time activities for that one kid who always finishes way early. Also, I found some things for a rainy day when the kids just need a break and sub ammunition in case there is a mutiny while I'm out.
Oh, how I long for the day to be in the classroom with the kids. We're going to Pinterest the heck out of those standards and benchmarks!
